Illness is not the end of dance

Twenty bodies. One thread of movement.

Short Synopsis
Unbound is a dance film that reframes disability through the language of movement. Featuring twenty people living with ME/CFS or Long COVID, it weaves short, self-recorded videos into a seamless, evocative choreography. Through gestures shaped by limitation and longing, the result is a collective act of defiant beauty—a testament to what still moves within us, even when movement is redefined.

Director Statement
An avid swimmer, kayaker, and cyclist who loved to dance before chronic illness altered the shape of my life, I am passionate about the stories that emanate from people living with profound limitations. Unbound is a love letter to the will to move and the power of creative collaboration. It’s been a privilege to partner with each cast member in the film, and I hope our work will speak to anyone who has ever felt constrained by their body and longed to find beauty in the smallest and truest of gestures.
